Two Mongolian judges escaped to foreign countries

This year Mongolian Anti Corruption Agency, in cooperation with General Intelligence Agency of Mongolia conducted special operation and arrested suspects in relation to Salkhit silver ore. In light with this case, president of Mongolia suspended 17 court judges from their offices on June 26, 2019.

After the investigation Anti Corruption Agency singled out 6 judges and sent its request for conviction to prosecutor.

Names of the SIX judges are:

  1. D.Tsolmon, judge of State Supreme court
  2. G.Tsagaantsooj, judge of State Supreme court
  3. Ts.Amarsaikhan, judge of State Supreme court
  4. E.Khaliunbayar, judge of Appelate Court of Administration
  5. B.Tsolmonbaatar, chief judge of Songinkhairkhan district
  6. B.Saikhantsetseg, chief judge of Chingeltei district

The mediator, who run between the judges and the briber was L.Byambaa, ex judge of Supreme court. She committed suicide while being in custody at pre-trial detention center, at night on February 22-23, 2019.

Out of this 6 judges, two of them have already got on the other side of Mongolian border. While Ts.Amarsaikhan flew to South Korea, judge S.Tumurbat got out of Mongolian border through Altanbulag border port to Russia, on the night of the President’s decree. He is a son of L.Byambaa, laureate judge of Supreme court, who committed suicide in detention center.

Recently Mongolian media reported S.Tumurbat was arrested at the border of the USA, with his families, with lots of cash in person.
